Beate runs fundraising agency b.bold out of Oslo, Norway. She is an allround fundraising strategist, in addition to specialising in digital fundraising: non-profit web design, content strategy and social media. Before starting her own company, Beate headed digital fundraising at the Norwegian Cancer Society for six years. This is where she discovered that her big passion in life is a well-designed donation form. Beate is a sought after public speaker for conferences all over the world.
Debbie has been working in financial services, corporate finance and M&A since 1996 and has held a number of leadership roles. Starting her career with James Capel, Debbie moved into practice with accountancy firm Mazars, followed by Chantrey Vellacott and most recently was head of M&A at Moore Stephens. Through her career within financial services Debbie has both managed and advised the boards she sits on and works with. Debbie has worked with large and small businesses as well as not-for-profit organisations. For the past eighteen years she has specialised in providing Financial and strategic advice to charities and UK SME’s and their shareholders. Debbie set up her own consultancy, New Clarke Ventures Limited, in 2017 to continue to provide board advisory services.
Jo has worked for Jamie Oliver for the past 10 years turning Jamie’s TV company Fresh One into a major international deliverer of content by expanding expanding the brand into Campaigning Documentary, Food Formats, Commercials, Multiplatform and Drama. She currently is Director of Jamie’s Sugar campaign and heads up UK Partnerships at the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation.
Over the last 30 years, Joel Kibazo’s career has spanned the world of journalism, broadcasting, diplomacy, management and finance with some of the leading companies and institutions in the world. A few roles that boast Joel’s experience are his posts as Manging Director-Africa at international business and communications consultancy FTI Consulting, Director of External Relations & Communications at the African Development Bank, and the Official Spokesperson and Director of Communications & Public Affairs at the Commonwealth Secretariat. Before moving into communications, Joel was a journalist at the London Financial Times. He also worked extensively in broadcasting, reporting and presenting business, education and cultural programmes for BBC World Service, Radio 4 and BBC World television as well as other broadcasters. He has been a member of the CNN Africa journalist of the year panel, and he has a BA in Social Sciences, MA in International Economics and Economic Development, and an MBA.
Madeleine was a Board Director at Williams Lea with responsibility for Sales and Marketing, during which time the turnover of the business grew from £5 to £100 million. She took on the role of Group Director of Operations with responsibility for 1300 staff for her last year before leaving to have a family. Madeleine has worked closely with Lucy Buck since 2010, helping her in particular with strategic planning, senior recruitment and managing growth.
Simon is Senior Counsel (until recently a Partner) at a leading international law firm Covington and Burling LLP, and prior to that a partner at Theodore Goddard for 16 years. Simon’s law practice has centred around corporate, private equity and funds matters, and is predominantly international in nature..
