Many babies are abandoned in the hospitals, car parks and roadsides of Kampala and admitted into our care malnourished, traumatised and weak.
Malaika Babies Home provides temporary protective care for up to 25 children aged between 0-2 years old. Every child receives their own care plan and carer to give them the attention they need to recover and thrive whilst we find them a permanent home within six months to avoid long-term psychological damage.

Here is a film about a little girl named Polly who stayed with us until she was resettled back with her Aunty.

If you would like to help us support children like Polly to give them a bright future loved and cherished in a family we would love you to help us with the running costs of our centre.

From nappies, to milk formula, to paying for our monthly water bill or making sure our children have fresh fruit and vegetables and medical check-ups – please visit our baby shower and give someone you love a gift which will help change the lives of a whole generation of children.
