Nothing in life is simple, well a lot is, but not in the world of Child’s i Foundation!

As you know, we are off to Uganda in a few weeks (gulp!). We have secured the building and are all set to establish our Child Abandonment Project. It’s critical we have the right people with us on the ground to get things happening, not just fast but in the right way. Step forward our Chief Financial Officer. A crucial part of our team, they will spend six months with us, setting up all the financial and HR aspects of the project. And herein lies our problem…

Up until this morning, we had our CFO, and then I received an email to say that, with huge regret, unexpected personal reasons meant they could not take on the role. So now we have 15 working days to find a replacement and get them on a plane to Uganda.

We need to be clear, this is not for a beginner, however well intentioned, we need a professional. So here goes, we need:
1.     A qualified accountant with strong management skills.
2.     Experience  in start-up operations.
3.     Experience of working in a developing country preferred but not essential.
4.     A high level of computer literacy and a good knowledge of Excel.
5.     Strong influencing skills.
6.     Ability to analyse problems and risks quickly and devise pragmatic and sustainable solutions.

All that, plus a sense of humour, resilience, a good team player, the ability to stay calm under pressure and patience will all be essential. This project is going to be a huge undertaking but you’ll be part of a team that is going to make a difference to many lives and it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

And you won’t be doing it for free! We will provide -a local salary, food, accommodation and return flights.

In the words of the Lottery – could it be you?
