Hello, I’m Anne, Child’s i’s Trustee for Brand Communications and Community.
In the last year we’ve connected with a wonderful number of people who’ve joined our community, who’ve become a part of Child’s i who’ve helped us to achieve what we have and it’s been amazing.
As Lucy prepares to go out to Uganda we’re all on a journey with her. Gearing up for this next chapter in our story has been an opportunity to think about the essence of Child’s i, its brand and what it stands for as something we cherish very dearly, as something we all share as people who are a part of it together, as a promise and a work in progress we can see taking shape, in front of our eyes.
Being innovative means we can try out new things. So a couple of days ago a few of us had a meeting about the meaning of the Child’s i brand and we had a tweet-up at the same time too. Between everyone we had a pretty fantastic conversation, as you can see, which was really good fun and something we wanted to share.
We’d love to keep the conversation going and to have your point of view too. Please tell us what you feel when you think about Child’s i and the reason you’re here, it would be great to know.
We’re aiming to strive for change in new ways, through the work we do and the way that we do it, not for difference’s sake but because we can. Doing things differently is one of our fundamental values as a community, coming together across the world, communicating with one another.
This way we do things is something we want to nurture and our brand is a big part of that, it’s the central unifying thought about Child’s i that we hold together. Everyone’s energy and ideas make Child’s i what it is, and that’s the huge, hopeful opportunity we have.
So whether it’s ideas for meet-ups, spreading the word about Child’s i, giving time, money or love, that’s all part of our brand, you make Child’s i what it is.
Take that in for a moment! We’re so happy you’re here, thank you.
