Where are Phil and Kirstie when you need them? One of our top priorities right now is finding the right property in which to house our babies’ home. During our Planning Trip to Uganda in May, we visited just the place, but it was, unfortunately, completely out of our price range.

However, since our return, landlords Esther and Hassan, who are busy renovating the property, have been in touch and said they would love us to be their tenants. After some negotiations, we have got the price down from $2500 to $1350 per month (about £810-£815 depending on the exchange rate).

As you know, your opinions are really important to us – we want you all to have a say in where your money is going, and we think this is an important decision we would like your feedback on. Here is a video and floor plan of the property for you to make your own mind up:

Our 1st Home?

There are a number of positives, namely:

  • Very safe location
  • In the process of being refurbished and will be ready by Nov 09
  • Clean & hygienic
  • Ideal space to accommodate 24 babies and office space
  • Good landlords
  • When we go out in November we have a base to set up in

The only negative seems to be:

  • The price – every penny we spend is precious, as is every penny we can save.
